Pre-Retinal Membrane (Macular Pucker)

A Macular Pucker occurs in the central part of the retina, called the macula, when scar tissue develops on the surface. It causes the macula to wrinkle and thereby distorts central vision. Treatment involved surgery to peel the abnormal scar tissue off the surface of the macula.
